Jefferson Radiology Expands with Second Glastonbury Location Offering Open MRI Services
(Glastonbury, CT.) Feb. 6, 2024—Jefferson Radiology is excited to announce the acquisition of the former Mandell & Blau Open MRI location in Glastonbury, Connecticut, effective March 1. With this expansion, Jefferson Radiology now offers MRI at eight locations across Hartford County, two of which are OPEN MRI and four of which are high field 3T MRI. Jefferson is one of the few practices in the state to offer Open MRI, and the expansion emphasizes the practice’s commitment to providing a patient-centric approach to imaging.
Nestled in the heart of downtown Glastonbury in the Eric Town Square and adjacent to Bricco Trattoria, the new office marks a second outpatient site in Glastonbury and the practice’s second Open MRI facility. Conveniently located just a mile from Route 2, this new Open MRI location offers both convenience and accessibility. Patients can already schedule their appointments by calling Jefferson Radiology directly, and many referring providers can seamlessly schedule electronic orders at this location.
The Open MRI technology is powered by a Hitachi Oasis machine, similar to the MRI in the practice’s Bloomfield location. Patients can expect a comprehensive range of MRI exams, including MRI of the Abdomen/Pelvis, Brain/Neck, Chest, Spine, Musculoskeletal MRI, and Angiograms with sub-specialized physician expertise for a more accurate diagnosis.
