On October 29th 2020, Governor Ned Lamont along with the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Children and Families, Vanessa Dorantes, visited Jefferson Radiology’s Farmington office and held a press conference with three TV networks and the Hartford Courant.

Governor Lamont and Vanessa Dorantes toured the facilities to learn about the important work Jefferson Radiology is doing in the fight against breast cancer. Later, the Governor addressed the media to share why early detection matters and that screening exams should not be overlooked during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Diana James. MD, head of breast imaging at Jefferson Radiology, spoke to the press and the Governor about the practice’s breast imaging services and the importance of early detection. Thomas Farquhar, MD,  presented the Governor with a recognition from the Radiology Society of Connecticut.
